KOVR makes it easy to find flexible work opportunities that fit your schedule. Browse shifts in your area, filter by what matters to you, and apply with just one tap.
Browsing Available Shifts
The Explore Tab
Open the KOVR app and tap the Explore tab to see all available shifts near you. By default, shifts are sorted by distance, with the closest opportunities first.
Map View vs List View
Toggle between map view and list view using the icons at the top of the screen. Map view is great for seeing exactly where shifts are located, while list view lets you quickly scan multiple opportunities.
Filtering Shifts
Use filters to narrow down shifts that match your preferences:
- Distance – Set your maximum travel distance
- Pay Rate – Filter by minimum hourly rate
- Date Range – Find shifts for specific dates
- Shift Type – Choose from various industries and roles
- Duration – Filter by shift length
Pro Tip: Save your filter preferences to quickly find similar shifts each time you open the app.
Understanding Shift Details
Each shift listing includes:
- Pay Rate – How much you'll earn per hour
- Estimated Total – Your projected earnings for the full shift
- Location – Where you'll be working
- Date & Time – When the shift starts and ends
- Requirements – Any special skills, certifications, or dress codes
- Employer Rating – Feedback from other workers
Applying for a Shift
Quick Apply
Found a shift you like? Tap Apply to submit your application instantly. Your profile, ratings, and verification status are automatically shared with the employer.
Application Status
Track your applications in the Activity tab:
- Pending – Waiting for employer review
- Approved – You got the shift! Check your schedule
- Not Selected – The employer chose another worker
Getting Notifications
Enable push notifications to get alerts when new shifts matching your preferences become available. You can customize notification settings in your profile.
Tips for Getting Hired
- Complete your profile – Employers prefer workers with detailed profiles
- Stay verified – Verified workers get priority in search results
- Apply quickly – Popular shifts fill up fast
- Build your reputation – Good ratings lead to more opportunities
- Be selective – Only apply for shifts you can commit to
