Accurate time tracking is essential for getting paid correctly. KOVR's clock-in system is simple and ensures both you and the employer have a clear record of your hours worked.
Before Your Shift
Make sure you:
- Have location services enabled on your phone
- Have a stable internet connection
- Arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow time to clock in
How to Clock In
Step 1: Navigate to Your Shift
Open the KOVR app and go to the Schedule tab. Find your upcoming shift and tap on it to open the shift details.
Step 2: Tap Clock In
When you're at the work location, the Clock In button will become active. Tap it to start your shift. If you're too far from the location, the button will be disabled.
Step 3: Confirm Your Clock In
You'll see a confirmation screen showing your clock-in time. The app will track your hours automatically from this point.
Note: You can only clock in within 200 meters of the job location and within 15 minutes of your scheduled start time.
During Your Shift
Once clocked in, the app will show a running timer on your home screen. You can check your current hours at any time by returning to the shift details.
Taking Breaks
Some shifts include break times. If your shift has breaks, you may need to clock out for unpaid breaks and clock back in when you return. Check the shift requirements for specific break policies.
How to Clock Out
Step 1: Open Your Active Shift
Return to the shift details screen from your Schedule tab or the active shift banner on your home screen.
Step 2: Tap Clock Out
When your shift is complete, tap the Clock Out button. You can clock out from anywhere—you don't need to be at the job location.
Step 3: Review Your Hours
After clocking out, you'll see a summary of your worked hours. Review this to make sure everything looks correct before the employer approves your timesheet.
What Happens Next
After you clock out:
- Your hours are submitted to the employer for review
- The employer approves your timesheet (usually within 24 hours)
- Once approved, payment is processed via Instant Pay or your regular payment schedule
Troubleshooting
I can't clock in
- Make sure location services are enabled in your phone settings
- Check that you're within range of the job location
- Ensure it's within 15 minutes of your start time
- Try refreshing the app or checking your internet connection
I forgot to clock out
Don't worry—the employer can adjust your hours. Contact the employer through the in-app chat to let them know, and they can correct your timesheet.
