KOVR is a fast-moving marketplace. Notifications ensure you never miss an opportunity or a shift update. You can customize exactly how and when we contact you.
How to Change Your Settings
- Go to the Profile tab in the app.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear).
- Select Notifications.
Channels of Communication
- Push Notifications (High Importance): Best for real-time alerts like "You've been hired!" or "Time to clock in."
- Email: Used for invoices, weekly summaries, and long-form updates.
- SMS/Text: Reserved for critical, time-sensitive alerts (e.g., last-minute shift changes or emergency safety alerts).
Tip: We highly recommend keeping **Push Notifications** enabled for "Job Status" and "Messages" to remain competitive on the platform.
Categories You Can Control
You can toggle alerts for these specific events:
- New Shifts: Get alerted when a shift matching your skills is posted.
- Job Status: Alerts for application approvals, waitlists, and cancellations.
- Messages: Be notified when an employer or teammate sends you a message.
- Promotions: Occasional news about bonuses, referral programs, or tips.
"Do Not Disturb" Mode
Don't want to be woken up by shift alerts? You can set "Quiet Hours" within the settings. During this time, we will queue non-critical notifications and deliver them once your quiet hours end.(Note: Critical shift starts will always bypass this.)
Troubleshooting
If you aren't receiving notifications, ensure that:
- Notifications are enabled in your Phone System Settings for the KOVR app.
- You have a stable internet connection.
- You have the latest version of the KOVR app installed.
